On May 25, 2026, a delegation of experts from the Instrument Evaluation Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Measurement (hereinafter referred to as “the Professional Committee”) and the National Flow Instrument Evaluation and Measurement Testing Alliance (hereinafter referred to as “the Alliance”) visited Newcapec for inspection and research. The delegation included Zhang Tao, Honorary Member of the Professional Committee and Chairman of the Alliance; Shen Si, Deputy Secretary-General of the Alliance; and Liu Simingyi, Secretariat of the Professional Committee. Yang Wenshou, Vice President of Newcapec, along with other colleagues, received and accompanied the delegation during the visit.

The research team toured Newcapec’s Cultural Technology Exhibition Center, IoT Intelligent Terminal Laboratory, and Intelligent Manufacturing Workshop. They listened to Yang Wenshou’s presentation on Newcapec’s overall development, core business strategy deployment, diverse product application scenarios, and key technological breakthroughs and achievements. The team closely observed Newcapec’s independently developed domestic ultrasonic gas meters, as well as ultrasonic gas metering modules that have overcome “bottleneck” technologies in the ultrasonic gas metering industry chain. They fully recognized and affirmed Newcapec’s achievements in domestic and independent R&D.

During the subsequent symposium, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on the current application status and latest technological progress of low and medium pressure ultrasonic flow meters in urban gas. They summarized practical experiences, analyzed existing problems and challenges, and assessed future industry development trends. Zhang Tao fully affirmed Newcapec’s strong support for the work of the Professional Committee and the Alliance in recent years. He expressed hope that Newcapec would continue to leverage its technical advantages and rich industry experience, further increase resource investment, deeply participate in instrument evaluation work, and contribute more to improving industry standardization.
